Dear St. Monica Parish Family,

We now begin the process to grow a culture of stewardship we’re calling “St. Monica Serves.” The first step will be a parish census.

Before your heart sinks and you think, “Oh no… paperwork,” please know this is something beautiful and important. A census isn’t about collecting information—it’s about staying connected. It helps us pause and ask: Who is here right now? Who needs support? Who wants to get more involved? Who may be feeling disconnected? So that we can love and serve one another better.

That’s what St. Monica Serves is really about—not programs, spreadsheets, or checking boxes, but serving the real people in the pews—and the ones who may not be here anymore. Because stewardship doesn’t start with giving; it starts with belonging. People need to feel seen, known, wanted, and missed if they’re gone.

And honestly, this is very “St. Monica.” She noticed, she listened, she stayed close, and she didn’t give up on people. This census is a small, practical way for us to do the same as a parish—our way of saying: We care about you. We want to know you. And we want to walk with you.

This census, please remember: isn’t a form for the parish office—it’s a gift to your parish family.

Thank you in advance for taking a few moments to participate, and thank you for being part of what makes St. Monica a family.

With gratitude,

St Monica Serves Committee
