The newest Minstry at St. Monica needs you!
The Mission of St. Monica is to build a welcoming community of faith, making God’s love visible through service to others.
Come help bring new people into our parish! Everyone is a Welcome Minister at St. Monica!
Have you been searching for a way to become more involved in our parish? Why not join the newest ministry of our parish, the Welcome Ministry?
We are in search of many smiling, friendly faces to help greet newcomers to our parish. We want to help them to feel welcome and comfortable in our place of worship.
What does the Welcome Ministry do?
Our members will greet new parishioners and welcome guests to our church before each Sunday Mass.
We will hold quarterly "Donut Sundays" to socialize and interact with our new families.
We are also planning semi-annual Welcome Socials to introduce them to members of our parish, let them know about opportunities to serve, and activities for spiritual growth and social interaction in our community.
We will contact newly registered parishioners to update them on what is happening in our parish and to ensure that they feel included in our community.
How can you serve the Welcome Ministry?
Can you offer a few minutes before and/or after each Mass to greet new comers to our church?
Can you help organize a regular meeting to provide information about St. Monica to new members?
Can you be a smiling face and a friendly voice to bring new parishioners into our community?
Fill out the brief form to the right if you would like to help with any of these activities or if you have great ideas to share! Please contact Eliza Reyna if you have any questions about the Welcome Ministry. (210) 273-8851 or [email protected]
Please pray for the success of this ministry and help us to grow. We are anxious to hear from you about what we can be doing to invite new families to become more involved in our incredible parish.
