A Message from Archibishop Gustavo
BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST,
The Lord’s call to be On the Way - ¡Ándale! is an invitation to discipleship and serves as the theme for our historic archdiocesan capital campaign. To be a disciple is also to be a steward, to give of ourselves and our resources—spiritual and material—for the good of one another. As God has been faithful to us in the past, so will he continue to bless us as we now face very serious current needs and challenges for the future because of rapid growth in our area. This case for support outlines these many and pressing needs as well as our plan to address them. It is the fruit of broad consultation, focused study, and ardent prayer. As your archbishop it is my hope that everyone in the Archdiocese of San Antonio benefits from this campaign, which is why I am inviting you also to play a role in meeting these challenges through prayer and financial support.
Please pray for our beloved archdiocese. As the Lord invites us to remain on the way at this pivotal time in the history of the Archdiocese of San Antonio, may we not respond reluctantly but with joy and with haste. How can we respond otherwise to our loving God’s urgent call: On the Way - ¡Ándale!
