Christian Intiation Ministry Information Meeting July 28th & August 4th at 2:30 pm in the Bauman Room of Parish Hall
Christian initiation is designed for those who, after hearing the mystery of Christ proclaimed, consciously and freely seek the living God and enter the way of faith and conversion as the Holy Spirit opens their hearts.
The Christian Initiation is a gradual process that takes place within the community of the faithful. Hence, the entire community must help those throughout the process of initiation.
How can you help? No experience is necessary other than an heart to walk with those interested to learn about Jesus and how He has impacted your lives. Some roles include:
Hospitality/Environment - Help create an environment that is welcoming and inviting
Mentor/Sponsor - Accompany someone who is on a faith journey to enter more fully in the life of Christ and the Church through our parish community.
Catechist - Share the teaching of the church throughout the liturgical year.
Dismissal Minister - Break open the Word proclaimed at Mass.
Prayer Team (EVERYONE) - Pray for each person who is on the journey with us or will do so in the future.
