This update on the new St. Monica Rectory was presented to the parish in December 2022 to announce the start of construction, show the plans for the house, and to provide info on the schedule and what to expect during construction.

The floor plan and views of the house exterior are shown here. There will be 2,073 square feet of living area which will feature a Great Room that will be an open, inviting space for people to gather in the center of the home. There will also be 3 bedrooms w/ 3 full bathrooms, a 2 car garage, and a built-in chapel.

The house will have a brick and cement board front, and shingle roof that will match the existing buildings. The garage will be a side entry.

We anticipate receiving approval to start construction in December and work will start soon after. The contractor expects to pour the concrete foundation in early 2023, and should be working inside the house by the next Parish Festival. The priests are anticipated to move in by Fall of next year.

The contractor will be setting up fence around their work site. Access to the rear parking lot behind the hall should remain available. There will be lots of construction activity, so we ask that everyone please be aware of truck/ machine traffic – especially during early site work. More updates will be provided as we get further along. Thank you and please pray that this project is completed timely, efficiently, and safely.

According to the grace of God which was given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building on it. But each man must be careful how he builds on it.
